While retroYou is been working as an experimental video maker since the early 90s, in the last years he started to focus also on the manipulation of the digital code, in the roles of reverse engineer, programmer and artist at the same time. Videogames code represents his favourite operation field, especially car race games code and flight simulators: he discovers hidden features and alter details of the code, including the fundamental rules of functioning of whole games, thus irremediably distorting the same game experience.

Actually - as his cryptic website shows - videogames seem to be just a step in a wider investigation, which goes towards a sort of continuous search, retrieval and experimentation with secret or background information, be it under the shape of media archeology, former classified data or propaganda materials. The hidden real / psychological connections between techno-religious beliefs, military apparatuses, hi-tech industry and corporate domination seem to be the target of this investigation.
