the seven mile journey - the metamorphosis project (fono’gram)

i thought post rock was dead along with post modernism. but this album doesn’t seems to care about that. this danish quartet are still rocking heavy post rock in the best manners on god speed you black emperor! or projects on constellation label or even mogwai. on these six long, instrumental unified tracks u can find loads of intense guitar noise and potent wall of sound mixed with subtle guitar drone, ambient and mysterious piano. even i found guitar post rock sound a bit boring recently, in the time of electronic hyper production; this album is really trying to avoid that time gap offering me a bit nostalgic and emotional feeling, reminding me of my teenage days listening to mogway and god speed. strange but true.
