depth affect - mesquin (autres directions in music)

autres directions in music is just another one of the net labels that have appeared recently on we have the third release of autres direction in music, a label which with the past two releases has appeared in two of the reviews. the third attempt is signed under depth affect, a project launched two and a half years ago which makes an attempt to frame hip hop into the sound that this label is interested in and has so far treated with its releases, and that is pop electronica. mesquin ep comes from a demo called mesquin eye which is consisted of 16 tracks, from which later on the particular tracks for the ep are chosen. this release is, however, an attempt of exploration of the aspects of the hip hop sound. experimental hip hop in a pop manner. or electronic pop in a hip hop style. although the pop moment is the one which overtakes in the sound, still this release would be placed in the hip hop direction because of its intention achieved through the style research. even though by its sound it is quite close to the previous releases (which is expected) it presents an attempt of rejecting the style clichés and creating an experimental fusion without experimental intentions.
