Pd

Installation
The
source-audio-samples of this installation are fragments of interviews, that
I've made with Pd-users. The focus
of attention of these interviews were: the working conditions, the motivation/cooperation
and communication of the
Pd-community. The interviews were fragmentised and audio-coded with the sociological
"open coding"-method.
Finally I got 15 different top-level codes.
There
is a matrix with 15 fields in the installation space. The visitors decide with
the way/fields they choose through
the installation, which audio-samples will be heard. - A slideshow shows text-statements
from the different topics of
the interviews.
In
a next step, the installation-library is filled with samples from Pd-users.
The original interview-fragments are
accessible on a page and the transfer of the manipulated samples happens with
the internet. The Pd-member
communication structure and the place for finding Pd problem solutions is used
for generating the samples.
Community
structures/concepts for technical problem solutions are imported in an art context.
The installation-
infrastructure is filled with micro-compositions from members of the Pd-community.
A collective composition,
a patchwork of many artistic ways to work with Pd is concentrated in this installation.
